Just because coaches don't go for it enough doesn't mean that i think they should go for it every time.

That fake punt is very debatable.  They had enough time to kick and score once.  They did not have enough time to score twice.  Part of the reason to go for it more around midfield is because you can get a stop without having to force a fumble or int.  when you go for it at your 31 or wherever it was, the other team has a decent shot at a FG if they don't get a first down.

I think it was a shaky call to go for it, mathematically, but not the worst call in the world.

Where I really hate it is how they chose to do it.  Even if you're terrified of your QBs, I would've much rather seen Ameen Moore or Gulley just run a normal play than have a backup do something goofy.  Duke was perfectly happy to fair catch the punt at that point, there was no reason for them to do anything but guard against the fake

These Western Michigan knuckleheads are way too confident in that goofy trickery.  Even if you don't believe in your offense, you're never going to win if they know you don't believe in them
