they fracture or the brain is concussed or the spine is paralyzed. Did you remember the hit Eric Dungey took?! Replay after replay, it was sickening. How he returned so soon last year I don’t understand and his career at SU is questionable. Having played the QB position in prep school and briefly at SU, I consider myself fortunate to have never absorbed anything close to it. When I played players were taught to tackle from the waist down. However, after watching the Bengal vs. Steeler game last night I am of the opinion that rules should be changed immediately before someone’s career is ended or worse. My suggestion stems from Dungey’s unfortunate circumstance and after watching Steeler wide receiver Antonio Brown on the receiving end of a brutal head shot from Bengal linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Burfict also negatively impacted the Bengals great season by pile - driving Ben Roethlisburger into the turf further aggravating the Bengals game position. IMO, the suggestion would be that any attempted tackle; pee wee, high school, college or NFL must take place below the shoulder pad so there would be less or no chance of head impact. The situation has gotten ludicrous and all you need to negate any referee’s action is a headhunter like Burfict and the damage is done in a second. If you do go after the head you are suspended indefinitely, college pending review to determine the extent of any penalty and suspended without pay pending review by NFL officials to determine how many future games you lose or an entire season. What do you think? What would you suggest ? Are you concerned? This has become a situation that needs attention and action. Of course this is the "hopefully aware by now but all about the money, SLOWNFL.” Nothing seems to make them aware of the seriousness of anything concerning players. It's a business. OK, you may say but this is football and it's a risk. A lot of what we watch seems to be like the barbaric Gladiator Games in Roman Times – and as soon as Ben was hit people began clapping and throwing bottles at him as they would have in the coliseum. Such are some of today’s fans. They ought to be ashamed. At least today people in football are getting hurt not killed.
