Heisman Watch

A running back for Boise or receiver for Arizona would have to have all time record numbers at their position to receive the Heisman. Other than that, the list looks pretty good and McCord would be fifth among those who have a reasonable shot.

Klubnik was terrible in week 1. How is he on there?
He played Georgia which luckily we didn't. Lol

He also threw for 380 yards and had 7 total touchdowns against App State. In two quarters

Pretty sure this guy watched the game, like RG3. He was dark horsing Kyle after the 1st half.

Nationally? Not so much. USA today did say that Fran was unlocking Kyle's talent, where Ryan Day, did not. ;-)

I dont see him in any odds, draft kings, etc.

Even if he led CFB in yards, passing? They'll protect their preseason picks... I mean, he didn't beat Michigan... or... its Syracuse...

Don't care. We have a GOOD one!!!

The Zona WR was one of the best returning WR’s along with Luther Burden going into the season so he has some built in stock.

It'll take a 400 yd 5 TD game v Stanford to keep it going

I don't see Holy Cross being a stat pad game for him. I see that as a ground and pound game.

I thought that would be the case against Ohio, but we came out throwing. It wouldn't surprise me if we ran the normal offense spreading the ball around until we got a big lead and then switched to ground and pound clock killing in the second half. Maybe McCord has a big first half that doesn't pad the stats, but at least keeps them in an impressive spot.

Nico Iamaleava could be higher. He hasn't played late in either of the first two games.

No leaving in stars to pad stats like Babers did with Shrader and Tucker to start the 2nd half vs. Wagner. Of course, Tucker reaggravated the ankle he injured in the Louisville opener. He was 60 to 75 percent of his normal self the rest of the season. Tucker not at 100 percent was one of the downfalls that led to 5 straight losses after starting 6-0. Fran hopefully will be smarter than that.

I dont want to see Laquint, OG or Kyle in the second half. Let’s see Willis, Tremble, and Michael Johnson Jr please.
I bet you don’t see laquint or OG or Pena. But I bet you do see McCord for a series or two. I think Fran is heavily invested in his success and probably would like to pad his stats as much as possible. Either that or he will come out throwing the whole first half, then run the second. I would bet Fran finds a way to make sure he has 300 yards and three TDs.

Both had legit preseason buzz they aren’t doing it out of nowhere.

A W for Boise vs Oregon and Jeanty could be in the drivers seat.

Both need to set all time records to have a chance realistically.
