Shafer also has a much different approach than Bill O'Brien on this one. And it cost O'Brien one of his QBs. Maybe he didn't really want him anyway, who knows.

I can't believe Shafer said "flashes". Was there a head coaching lingo handed out around, oh, 2005, and all coaches were required by law to learn it and use it?

I like that he refers to the departing seniors as "our first class." Unconsciously, he views the program as a continuation of the success of the last 4 years.
