This is my first post on this board, although I love reading it every day. Some good insight, some VERY good humor. Thanks, guys. I am 71 and have retired to a Caribbean island, but enthusiastically watch every Orange game. I graduated in 1963, watched Davis, Little, Czonka, Nance, Mackey at Archbold and even shook hands with Boeheim & Bing. Those were priceless years at the best school in the NE.
Can one of you good people record today's SU v. Georgetown game for me on a DVD? My DVD player won't record...only play. Unfortunately, I have to pick up people at the airport and cannot get out of it, and as such, will have to miss the entire game. Damn! The DVD can be sent to a Florida forwarding address and I will gladly pay anything you like through my Bill Pay at a US bank. My email address is: SHW1126@yahoo.com. Just connect with me after you record it, and we can swap mailing addresses. Thanks a billion! Scott

Wish I could help you! Maybe someone else can. And perhaps the University will do something. Good luck! Your guests are very rude. :)

Caribbean islands aren't that big. Your guests can hoof it.

On an unrelated note... Can I come live with you?

no need to wait for a DVD shipment . . . replays of home games are available in their entirety on Orange All Access . . . you can purchase a 24 hour pass for 7 bucks or a monthly for 11

It's Scott again,
tried Orange Access for one month last year, but it kept stopping for minutes at a time then resuming, then stopping. Arrrrgh. Too frustrating. Guess it's due to my dial-up service. Guess I'm outa luck. Enjoy the game guys. Go OrangeMEN.

A dial-up internet connection will effectively prevent you from streaming the game in decent-enough quality.

Anybody with a DVR and a computer equipped with a video capture card should be able to pull this off and convert the game to DVD.

I also suggest, if anyone steps up and helps this gentleman, uploading the resulting video to a torrent site for wider fan distribution, especially if the game is a classic.

Welcome aboard, I did not get past the Caribbean Island comment, so, what island?

Scott...is broadband available at all there? If so it opens up a world of streaming for you. Sorry I can't help today as I don't have the equipment. Does CBS offer streaming?

Hi, Scott. I also graduated in 1971. We might even know one another!

I live overseas, so I get the game on the internet stream. Sorry. Otherwise, I'd give it a shot (with my very limited technological knowledge).

Good luck.

Tom

Thank you all for the heartfelt advice. Unfortunately, I am technologically challenged, (but am good at catching tuna and wahoo.). Any live streaming would find me at the airport w/o TV, unfortunately. As to broadband, yes, I'd have to have the Hughes-Net people ocean-freight me a dish and the magic box and have it installed. They say their $99/month (and up) plan would be best for watching sports. As it stands right now, I get all the games on a 55 in. Bravia TV at home. No problemo. It's just that I cannot record with my DVD player, nor will I be near a computer or TV to watch it. I have no Tivo or the like. Seems I'll think ahead before inviting guests down. Thank you for all your responses. Enjoy the game! I can't help but think they'll show footage of John Thompson waving the towel as he was escorted into the locker room. Ha!

I can help you out. Let me know if you still need it.

Keep in mind though that it may not be the complete game if the S Carolina- Georgia game runs late.

if you don't get it elsewhere, I will try to burn a copy from the replay off the OAA website

I'm sorry...I'm a little late to this discussion.
When did you say the party at your place is?
