It's possible to get off at exit 6, take 11 North to where it splits, and goes left- but stay off 11. Go straight up 12. Go as far as Sherburne where you again veer to the left onto 12B, take that to Hamilton, up to Route 20, 20 to Cazenovia etc. I'd guess from where you get off in Binghamton to Hamilton will take you 90 minutes, then another 20-30 to Syracuse. It's probably the only dry and not mud-covered road aside from the thruway that can get you there. So not sure if it's worth it. But if you go that way, honk as you drive past my house. [I]edit- [/I]Get off at 6 and go up Rte. 12. about 20 minutes to Greene, NY. Take a left at the light onto NY 206, follow into Whitney Point, right onto 79 towards Ithaca, and hop on 81 there.
