Su is pulling out all the stops trying a $79 pitt-bc-Indiana deal.. You get two tickets to football games that you can get on stubhub for $20 and a nosebleed ticket to the Indiana game . How many tickets do you think they will sell for this deal? its only a good deal if you wanted to go to the Indy game and didnt want to spend $40 on a ticket. but if you wanted to go an sit in the far reaches and go to 2 fball games you can save some money.. the school gets 3 ticket sold and loses $30.. lets say they sell 500 of these tickets and I dont think they will. What if they had use some common sense in the way they dealt with the Duke tickets.. say they held back 2000 of the duke tickets they let Season ticket holders buy, tickets that would have been somewhat decent but not great and still not the ones in the 30000 range.. say they had held those tickets for 2 weeks and offered them packaged with the pitt/BC game at no discounted price. how many of those fully priced tickets would they have sold? probably all 2000 get sold. lets say for giggles they held back 2000 duke tickets of decent quality and 2000 of the far reaches. and they then do the same deal with other games. how many of those get sold.. probably all 400o Hmm.. You can make this a short term deal. 2-3 weeks, if they dont get sold you still sell them like always. if there is no duke hype nothing lost.. But the hype was there, there was a buzz all summer.. am i missing something?
