Shafer took over a 8-5 program that lost quite a bit of talent, he backed that up with an up and down 7-6 season.  Shafer has no big wins, HUGE losses and won 3 games last year and will most likely win between 3-5 this year. If that resume isn't at least worth discussing a possible replacement, we should just pack up and go home.

I don't care either way anymore, I really like Shafer but I like winning football games more. I prefer he stays and we win games but he has 6 games left this year to get it going.  Shafer will be just fine but I think the decision will make itself.  5 wins I think he is fine, 3 wins is a very tough sell.  4 wins?  Who knows

I don't think coaches get as much time as they use to.  Like I said, I can see cases on both sides.  I think he wins 5 games and is safe, but coaches know the game.
