I keep hearing all this crap about a banged up Oklahoma team. Clemson lost their #1 WR in their first game, their second leading WR statistically before the Bowl game and their best defender in the beginning of the game last night. Clemson has talent stacked like cord wood. They may be poised for a good run in the playoff era.

Actually OU was looking ahead to their game vs Bama and never played any of their starters during the second half. I can not believe that Clemson replaced their whole o-line...wow that is impressive so ain't kidding about cord wood.

He is a UT and orange guy, but it is Vols orange. He is from Nashville and is a Vandy grad. I knew a host of people like him when I grew up in Middle Tennessee - hard core Vols fans even if they attended another college. I know people who are from TN and went to Vandy and while at Vandy they were Vols fans to the max.

The ACC always playing nice means in the real world of cut throat trash - like the Big Ten - we get cut out. John Swofford truly is a nice and honarable man who wants to avoid giving anyt impression that the ACC is a nasty boys conference. So, like all his predecessors, he gets taken advantage of.

What the ACC needs is a commissioner who takes names and hunts heads. Slive came in to the SEC and first thing made it clear that all schools would stop trying to back stab other schools in the conference, because all that achieved was conference disunity, which other conferences and the networks would take advantage of. Grievances between SEC members would be handled in house without getting outsiders (meaning the NCAA and the press and other schools) involved. Like Roy Kramer, Slive felt that the Big Ten had been very successful at that over the years, which helped explain its wealth and power.

Agree. For the longest time ACC meant the "All Choirboys Conference."
