Well, looks like Diaco changed it to "The ConFLiCT" as a way to represent the states involved and to not offend anyone for the civil war reference (his words, not mine). I'm glad Diaco was looking out for the feelings of the civil war soldiers.

UCONN won 2 games last year. Stony Brook and UCF. So this allowed them to start a "rivalry" game with them being up 1-0. Even though historically they aren't up 1-0, if you look at the pathetic trophy it only lists last year's game as a"trophy" game.

They'd probably been better off picking Stony Brook. The Sea Wolves may have actually accepted.

UCF wasn't consulted before UConn created it. It so small time for UConn that making fun of is a waste of time. I mean that might be the lowest hanging fruit I have ever seen.
I mean if UCF wins it would be great if they just leave the trophy on the field and tell UConn to keep it. That trophy alone would be enough justification to cancel our series with them next year. I mean I am still pissed Frasier bungled our scheduling so badly we had to schedule UConn. I would rather give a bad MAC team a home/home than play UConn FB again.
Our fans are going to deal with the worst environment in that stadium next year.

To make it even more pathetic, the only other time they played each other was during the previous season (2013) when UCF trounced them 62-17. Somehow that score didn't make it onto the trophy.

"The coach said he also took some other criticism to heart, adding to the trophy the score of UCF's 62-17 win over the Huskies on Oct. 26, 2013."]

If/when UCF wins, I hope to see a scene like this on the 50 yard line...
