FYI Ali is an SU basketball fan.  My daughter and I had a conversation with Ali and his father at the last Big East championship game with SU (SU v Lville in 2013).   We primarily talked about Hobart since my daughter was thinking of applying there.    My son Danny was close HS friends with Ali's older brother so I knew the father pretty well.   Ali's rep in HS was that he was good guy and not a meathead.   Also a good basketball player.  Hastings HS rarely has a good football team but occasionally has a good basketball team.   I knew he was a good division 3 football player but I had no idea he was this good.
Unique family.  Parents are divorced but still live in Hastings on Hudson or at least his father does.   Ali's father is well know videographer for fashion shows for nearly every major NYC fashion designer.  I think he won a Emmy award for directing.   Ali's mother is the guitarist and lead singer for a mom rock band - "Housewives on Prozac."
