It is really interesting, the difference (for me) between being at a game and watching on tv. Although I knew we were playing sluggishly in the first half, I wasn't worried. I thought we would kick it into the next gear. I am NEVER as anxious about a game when I'm there as when I'm watching on tv. I think it's because you can have impact on the game as a fan in the Dome. You can cheer, stand up, clap and feed into the team's energy. There's a synergy and all of us know it. But when you're passively watching the screen, there is more angst and more criticism. "WHY is he fouling like that?" Etc. Then you can work yourself up into real worry about the team, whereas when we were leaving the Dome after High Point, my daughter and I were saying, "Yup, we knew they could do it. No worries!"

But I suspect my true ignorance of the game of basketball (and I'm not trying to disrespect myself) helps me feel more confident than perhaps I should feel. I always enjoy reading Tom and the General's and SWC's  (and others) thoughtful analyses so I can realize, "Oh, THAT's what I saw tonight!"
