this is exactly the type of team / offense that has given Syracuse problems with HCSS as a DC or HC

The team took a week off during the bye from a majority of football focused agendas

I can't really fault the Offense too much (OL excluded)

The style of D leads to our non Darelle Revis level DBs to get torched by these offenses

Virginia will be a bounce back game because that is a more traditional type of Offense

Heck, so is Pitt

Let us take a break from the meltdown to realize that we can still be at five wins in two weeks.

Yes today was EXTREMELY disappointing

But we still have some winnable games ahead of us

Cheers to the fans here and keep smiling ... You are alive and breathing, be thankful

I just can't see us winning next week as bad as the defense played today. We were exposed as bad as any team can be while the staff focused on shopping for recruits all week.Shafer better not answer a text for weeks if he wants to go bowling.

Then maybe he shouldn't be the head coach. I think he is in way over his head.

It's only one game, won't make or break the season. If they lose to to Virginia it's done but they haven't lost yet.

This is the type of game I don't get why SU schedules. What good can come of it? I get why they schedule an LSU, Wisconsin, Notre Dame. You want 1 big OOC game a year, fine. I don't necessarily agree with it but I get that logic.

But if you are going to schedule USF then you might as well schedule Army, Ball St, Eastern Michigan, Massachusetts, or Buffalo and get a guaranteed win! Schedule guaranteed wins. Scheduling a USF, UCONN...why? Nothing good comes of it. If it's a home game nobody is showing up anyway and if its a road game it's a tough road game vs an equal level opponent. Why schedule a team that is an equal to you who may beat you. Schedule a team that is beneath you that you more than likely will beat.

And if we are ONLY scheduling them to play a team in Florida for Recruiting, go schedule Florida Atlantic a team you can beat.

Suntan U hit some plays, we did some dumb stuff, it happens.

Defense needs to take better routes, not draw flops like a Brazilian soccer player, and we need to throw the ball forward rather than backwards and we'll be fine.
