The 67% thing is one of those misleading numbers.

The QB is a freshman and the team runs an option based offense so of course freshman are going to lead the way when it comes to accounting to yardage.  He obviously throws the most passes(ha) and the best RB is a frosh and the guy with the second most carries is...dungey so its really  misleading.  Yes of course if you add in the top two of the top three wr then the number goes up.  Its just very misleading.

The question is how do we know they are better?  How do I know that Ben Lewis is better?  How do we know Palmer is better?  How do we know that Culpepper is better?

Fact is that to win at syracuse the coach is always going to have to do more with less.  So the idea that in two years Shafer has jumped recruiting up so far that SU is going to improve a lot just because of it.  The issue and question is do people see the coaching that is needed and I am not sure its there.

Also if you want to argue only shafers third season.

Look at Marrones third year...2011
