I am sure it has been mentioned, but in two of JB's previous three trips to the Final Four, he has faced Rick Pitino. With any luck, this will be the third time that the two have met in the Final Four, with Pitino coaching three different teams. Boeheim won the first meeting in the national semifinal with Providence. Pitino got the better of JB in the 1996 championship game. Like I said, I am sure it has been mentioned, I just haven't had the time to read every post, but what are the chances that they have been to the final four three times together?

Pretty crazy that JB hired Rick right away all those years ago and this could be their 3rd FF appearance against each other. That JB has an eye for talent
