My whole point is about comparing Licata's performance versus Hunt and that, if you want to go beyond arbitrary judgements, I'd like to see data/statistics that shows the level of competition that Licata is facing this year vs the level of competition that Hunt is facing this year.   
Without diving into the data, I'd bet that Hunt has faced (cumulatively) better defenses than Licata.  I'm basing that on the fact that Syracuse is (cumulatively) facing higher-ranked teams (according to coach's polls) with players who had higher rankings either out of high school or in college or both.
I know Buffalo has played OSU and Baylor.  They've also faced much weaker teams.

I understand Buffalo has a pretty decent team and that Licata is, from the little that I've seen, an underrated prospect and college QB.
I don't see how Licata is a better QB than Hunt.
