All they talked about was how WVU would have to be the one. No mention of Syracuse at all. Never mind that Syracuse had dominated WVU on the field the entire decade of the 90's or the fact that Miami, V-Tech and Syracuse had consistently been fighting for the Big East crown most of the decade (with brief appearances in the fray here and there by WVU and BC).

The lack of respect for what SU had done in the Big East was depressing. That's why the hire of Greg Robinson was so devastating. That was a critical juncture when Syracuse had the opportunity to shine in the weakened Big East but sunk to Rutgersesque depths instead.

On the bright side things do seem to be picking up steam with Coach Shafer so there is hope.
