Obviously, this has been a tough, frustrating, and demoralizing year for Syracuse football. REGARDLESS, I am grateful for every Saturday I get to wake up and there’s a SU football game to watch that day. Personally, (and I know I’m not alone here) this year has been one of the most challenging of my life. Covid/quarantine has put strain on my job, my relationships, and my mental/physical health. Knowing that at the end of each week, I get to watch the boys play, gives me something to look forward to. That for a few hours on, each Saturday, I get to be happy/mad/upset about something that’s not so directly detrimental to my life. So even though I might be screaming at my TV more often than not, I appreciate the few hours where the worst thing in my world is Rex throwing a duck into double coverage.
I appreciate these guys strapping on the helmets every week and going out there and fighting their asses off. All BS aside, the fact that we had a season at all means the world to me. So as I lay here, struggling to get out of bed and start my day, I just want to say; I love this team, I love this school and I love this city. GO CUSE!
