1. Don't go winless in conference play
2. Bleed in the young guys. The upperclassmen aren't getting it done, and Ishmael and others are clearly the future at certain positions.
3. With that though, don't burn Long or any of the OL recruits shirts. They show a lot of promise.
4. Try out Kimble or Wilson at QB, go into next year with the assumption that Long, Eduoard, Kimble, or Wilson is starting unless Hunt takes an astronomical leap. I'll take a .500 season next year with a young but getting experienced Long, assuming he can make some plays and shows that he's learning, over wasting a season on Hunt when he's gone soon anyways.

Long is not the answer. He can barely throw the ball 15-20 yards. He is nowhere close to his listed size. He can barely be 5'10" and 170 pounds. I do think he's a leader and can run, but he can't throw at this level.

Those in know should chime in here between Kimble and Wilson. From what I remember Kimble is a more dynamic runner but Wilson throws better. I haven't seen a lot of good throws from Wilson and he can't run but we have only seen limited action. We need someone who can make the right reads and throw the ball accurately.

I think we should play whoever gives us best chance to win. Senior, freshman, someone we were going to redshirt. If there are players sitting on bench that are better than players on field then #1 get them in game and #2 why are they on bench.

I wouldn't mind seeing what another QB could do bc Hunt is becoming an absolute abomination to the QB position but I can't shake the fact that Wilson looks like we just pulled some random kid out of the stands to QB. Stature-wise, I fear he could die back there.

Judging Hunt and how he played vs two top 25 defenses is fair - but he has enough to get us a win vs a lot of other teams on the schedule this season.

Wilson and co look far worse.

The alternative to Hunt is terrifying. Most irrational minds on this board can't see that. To the OP, I still think SU can get 6 wins. Pitt is beatable, NCSU is, too. Wake, yup. Duke is, too, though they have a bunch of talent. Not to mention BC, who looked bad vs. Colorado State. 5 more possible wins on the schedule. Need to get folks back in the lineup, get Hunt running again, and feed the hot hand at RB. PTG needed the ball more in the second half. Still confounded as to why he barely saw the ball.

The time to consider a QB change is not here yet. That said I want a passer as our next QB and Wilson is the best arm since before Nassib. He has not had a fair shot yet and without his TD drive vs Nova we are 1-4.
I hope Hunt makes it but...

What scares me is we have no QB in the system who can play at this level and we aren't even recruiting a quarterback this year. If they have to scramble for one now, I doubt he can play at this level. They will need to get someone to recommit from somewhere else.

I think you are wrong. Wilson and perhaps Kimble can in another year.
