When was the last time SU won a game because of standout goaltending?

They had something like 10 unforced turnovers in the offensive end. That had more to do with the outcome than anything else. Hill was great early and he was still making plays late.

It's a team game and a team loss. They had every opportunity to bury them and they didn't. All they need to do was get 4 goals in the 2nd half and it was game over.

Conditions, first year starters at goal, close d, middie, on the road in conditions they won't play in the rest of the year.

Way early for the hand wringing.

The issue isn't the conditions or first year starters its the play late in games and areas that continue to be a concern ie Offensive depth, Ben's stamina late, Hill making stops. The schedule only steps up form here and if were struggling to close out games against Army, UVA and JHU were in a world of trouble against ND, Duke, and even UNC. The other issue is that the staff seems slow to address issues that have been glaring for weeks now. Obviously we can't make an in season trade or utilize the wavier wire but we have nearly a 60 person roster at some point you have to sit Ciferri and Evans and give someone else a chance when the same mistakes are being made week after week. The turnovers have been a problem all year and have been bad in the Dome as well so conditions are not an excuse.

No one is panicking after an OT loss but there are some concerns especially with a very difficult schedule moving forward, Cornell and Hobart are both on the road mid week which makes those games much harder then they should be especially Hobart who thinks our match-up is the national championship game. SU needs to clean up the turnovers, get Piroli back, try some new blood on the second mid line, and clean up the issues on SDM and this team has a chance to make some real noise.

Bobby Wardwell against UNC in last year's ACC semifinal. Kid stole the game in front of crap team defense.
