How about no minutes for Westry, McLeod or the walkons?
There are 8 guys that have played more than 190 minutes this season: Lucas, JJ, Jyare, Elijah, Donnie, Chris, Eddie and Jaquan. Jaquan leads all players in mins played with 352. The four guys that are under 190 mins played are WAY under: Petar (82), Kyle (54), Naheem (11), Chance (10). These four I won't count towards any stats because those mins are so low that it's really tough to discern anything from the numbers (all for the eye test, for example, we know Naheem can't play 40 mpg from watching). But for the 8 guys that have played 190 mins or more, Carlos is: 7th out of 8th in PER (7.8). An average player is supposed to be at 15.0. The only person lower than him out of the 8 is Lucas. That PER is abysmal. His TS% is last out of the 8 (43%) and his eFG% last as well (36.3%). Those percentages are abysmal for anyone that plays, let alone starts, let alone has the most minutes played. Abysmal. His BPM is last of the 8. The only starter in negative numbers (Lucas is negative, too). His BPM is -2.3. Regular stats: FG% is last of the 8 at 33.9% (insanely awful). His 3PT% is 21.4% (needless to say, anemic). In the end, every minute Jaquan is playing is a losing minute for us. We are starting the game with an anchor around us. Every. Single. Minute. If he is playing, we are losing. I have no idea how ANYONE thought he was going to be good. Besides the out-of-the-world historically bad stats that we have all you have to do is see him play, especially in person. Anyone yearning for Jaquan to continue to play a lot, especially at this level, is rooting for us to lose.
