Dungey- don't play him in mop up time.  If he's really the #2, then wait till we need him and play him.  Don't blow the redshirt for mop up only duty. Wilson can handle mop up duty.  If hunt plays all year, then we have dungy for 4 seasons.

Fredericks &strickland-  burn one but not both.  I assume Perkins will RS  due to the injury.

The defensive ends- burn one, not all 3

The linebackers- dont blow their redshirts just to cover kickoffs and punts.  Let the 2 deep do that.

The o-lineman-  surely we won't have them on specials right?  Minimal extra value in that.  Save the year.

Given the lack of depth that Shafer has had, he really hasn't had to make these decisions much.  This might be the first time he has to make some calls that will benefit him long term but marginally help him short term.  If he plays this right, and wins some games, we might have real depth starting next season for the first time in 15+ years.
