How banged up

He seemed to be sucking wind all game.. i wondered if his ribs were hurting from early on

He clearly hadn’t recovered from Wake. I don’t fault him. Missed a wide open td though during the pick possession.

DeVito must feel like he’s in purgatory.
I don't think there is a plan to have TD play again this year unless it's back to full time starter. I don't think it's HCDB's choice either.

That’s why I’m still shocked when people say Td will play a role outside of an injury to shredder. He won’t

Yeah, I was all like - it’s Tommy Time now!! Just like back in the day against FSU or UNC.

And then Shrader & Peña had that HUGE scoring play, and I was like -
OK, maybe we don’t need Tommy here after all.

While it is absolutely, unequivocally, undeniably true that Tommy is a vastly superior thrower than Garrett will ever be;
HOWEVER-
what he’s not, is able to avoid a rush and extend a play, and then MAKE A PLAY.

Shrader s ability to virtually always make the first rusher miss, AND then still keep the play alive and have a chance at positive yards, is what separates him from Tommy, like they are on opposite sides of the Grand Canyon.

Being a good thrower is nearly irrelevant IF you can’t make a throw because pressure causes you to go into survival mode.

Exactly... Tommy would have gotten killed yesterday.

If he plays another game would it prevent him from being a redshirt candidate?

I think Shrader knew how well Clemson was spying/containing him. It wasn't like with other teams where they had to overcommit to keep Tucker in check, requiring Shrader to make only make one guy miss to get into space. When he did scramble he rarely had room to turn upfield. I think I saw him throw more passes away today than any other game so far. Clemson's athletes are just a different animal than anyone else we've seen. For all the problems they have on offense, their defense is the same as ever.

I don't care how many great athletes they have, put 4 WR like Estime, Philips, Etta, and Ishmael on that Syracuse team, it's a blowout.

What does that have to do with the OP and my response to it?
