It's nice to see our division ranked second in strength with the Coastal right below. [Scroll past my ramblings to list and article link at the bottom] I really tire of hearing how the Big Ten and PAC-12 top to bottom are superior to the ACC and we may only deserve to lick the bottoms of their boots while cowering in a spot as low as 4th or 5th "best football conference overall" so when all else fails turn to mathematics to prove the haters wrong. I know everything is cyclical and every league has its Rutgers-ish dumpster fire to bring it down; but it's nice-- no, that's not even strong enough of an adjective-- it's damn fine cup of coffee after a delicious slice of apple pie satisfying to finally see our teams and players recognized as being a collection of some of the most talented in the nation.

Now, with the fist pumping out the way I do want to wish the safest of travels and the greatest of experiences to all your Syracuse supporters who are making the trip to Clemson this weekend. I hope your coaches and players enjoy themselves, too. I will be watching on television (hopefully) and I think the game will be a close one (I'm too superstitious to make a score prediction) because Dino Babers is an amazing coach and your roster is filled with tremendous talent.

I promise I'll link to the article I created this thread for and stop droning on like some starstruck kid but before I do I also want to say I'm envious that your fans will have on the orange at this game while most of ours will be displaying purple instead. I don't bemoan the game's color theme, which is a military appreciation (purple heart) tribute, a very worthwhile celebration if ever there was one; it's just that I have always loved seeing Death Valley adorned with orange, orange, and even more orange! So when we have a very orange clad organization like your own coming into town, I'm still pulling for the orange ! (Maybe that's why I've always enjoyed watching Syracuse basketball so much...)

Regardless of what the end result of the game is, here's to a fair and competently called game (come on, ACC refs, please, just this once!:bang with no major injuries or embarrassing fan incidents (the "Clemson fans are classless POS for booing injuries" thread on here from two years ago is still seared in my brain) to speak of!

Now, I'll go back in my Hobbit hole to see how it all unfolds...Popcorn and soda(promised article link is below)...
