FSU/UL/Wake/Bc are scoring pts

But dang if every series they have guys running 10 yds open for big plays.. their schemes cant all be that good. But one thing is FSU/Wake/BC all make you stop the run and we dont.

BC losing Brown could be big if can figure out how to stop the run against them.. although that backup lit it up too.

FSU vs nc st.. 32 rushes for 53 and 29/40 for 316 Allowed 28 for 88 and 28/52 for 282
Su vs NC st 37 for 41 and 29/39 for 300.. we allowed 34/104 and 18/31 for 260.

except they got 31 out of it and we got 10 while NC st got 13 and 16.
thats why there is hope..

we need to make pitt one dimensional without selling out the run D. they ran for 78/24/69 in the 3 losses.

So undersized to stop the run though... Especially @ DT and LB...

On TV, Lakiem looks like the smallest player on the field...

Something interesting about Louisville. Most of us here (that are sane) are worried what could happen if 5th year Sr. Welch, or 4th year Jr. Culpepper were forced into duty, or god forbid, true freshman Summers or Gunther.

Louisville has been forced to play a true freshman that was more lightly recruited than Summers ('Ville was the only P5 offer). Led the offense to 3 TDs against Wake with pretty good passing and rushing numbers. Led them to 10 points in the 4th quarter of the BC game.

Pitt is not good on offense - they are already 1 dimensional in that they can't run

BC's D is hot garbage and Wake's isn't much better. Our D is rated higher than both. We'll see - they have some explosive playmakers (two of which would have been in orange if it had not been for Petrino).

I'm not saying the freshman will do well against us, or that those defenses are good. But still impressive that he can step in and make plays. You get the sense that if our true freshman played, he'd be wearing a blindfold.

They all have good offenses - the hope is that their defenses continue to be porous while our O suddenly finds something that works.
