We have 2 wins with 4 more wins needed. How do people see the path to a bowl? I'd say Louisville, Wake, NC St., and Pitt/BC split is most plausible. Either way Louisville game can get them back on track...if they fall to 2-3 its time to worry.

It starts Saturday ...

I think we can still correct things to beat the toss up teams, but to steal one in MetLife would sure go a long way.

Hope we can answer the bell. I would like to see what happens if we can just open the game well and get a quick score. Get some confidence.

Who knows. I'll be there cheering them on.

L'ville, Wake, Nc St, and BC (hopeful that Murphy running so often is going to lead to him being very banged up by the end of November)

Losing to MD didn't make the path any easier so the team didn't do themselves any favors there.

NC St and Wake are must wins, BC and then Pitt/L'ville would be the most likely route. Maybe they surprise us and pull off an upset of one of the big 3 on the schedule but I wouldn't hold our collective breath on it.

What is the mental impact if we lose to ND? Barely escaping Villanova, playing poorly and losing to MD, and a loss to ND. I wonder what the mental state of the players will be even if ND is expected to win. Will that impact potentially winnable games after ND.

To early to tell. This team actually has the talent to really blossom by the second half of the season. Pitt and Duke may be overrated. Clemson has a frosh QB so who knows and who knows what the idiot at FSU does by the time our game rolls around.

It's college football and anything can happen. We have beaten top 15 teams in the past few years with arguably worse teams. I just wish I knew what freakin color we are.

Both FSU and Clemson are not the teams they were last year. Still would take something monumental to pull it off, but our chances are better.

Very difficult but I would not use "monumental". Certainly either would be Shafer's signature win.

Yeah! More logic and no emotional self indulgence. And Notre Dame is going to have a wounded animal to deal with.

Well, the way I see it we need to win at least four more games. I just don't see any other way for us to get bowl eligible without that happening.

FSU would definitely be a monumental win for the program. That's assuming they're still #1 and SU plays the game of their lives.

Wake, NC State, Lville, Duke, BC, Pitt. 4 of those seems fair. ND is more talented than us but haven't played anyone since Michigan sucks it turns out. So you never know. FSU and Clemson aren't happening. FSU beat Clemson without Winston, and Clemson in Death Valley won't happen. Just get back to a bowl

Are NCSU and Duke undefeated? Yeah, they are. These are winnable games. NCSU has played nobody and looked horrible in the process. USF almost lost to Western Carolina this year. Outside of the Presbyterian game (which with 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter was still a ball game) - NCSU has flat out sucked.

Duke hasn't really played anybody either. They have injuries that are riding them, and as the season goes on, wear and tear grows.

All I am saying - we have winnable games on our schedule. We can compete with any team on our schedule (minus FSU/Clem). The doom and gloom on this board is a little comical. Fix the mental errors and make a couple more plays on offense. We are right there folks.

SU just has to put it out there in every game as if it's their last. The talent is there. Beat the Irish and when they do, don't lose focus.

I think most people had 2-1 or 3-0 coming out of the first 3 games.

People only analyze whats flawed with syracuse and not anybody else because nobody around here watches any other college football games. ND is going to hammer us Saturday night but LVille, Wake, NC State, Duke, Pitt and BC also have their flaws. Wake is a gimme but every one of the other games is a toss up. We could win every one or lose every one.

We'll need to win 3 of LVille, NC State, Duke, Pitt and BC.

It starts this Saturday. A win against ND would be enormous and send us into the Louisville game riding some serious momentum.

Realistically, the way I see it - we have to beat WF & NC St. And then get 2 wins out of BC, Pitt, Duke, Louisville, which I believe to be very possible.
