It takes forever for the crowd to get out there so it’s more like a trickling onto the field. Going over or under those railings and hopping all the way onto the field(seems like a good 6 foot drop or so from what I remember) is not something you can safely do all that quickly. Throw in the numerous drunk people and the inconsiderate morons who disregard the safety of others, and it’s probably more dangerous to do than at many other places. Like, at the Dome for hoops, you can get to court level by walking down without having to climb over a railing and jump down 6 feet. I stormed the field after VT in ‘98 but we were sitting in the VT section so obviously there was nobody else coming onto the field from that area, so it was easy to do safely. [/QUOTE]
