How long of a contract does Dr. Gross have?

Dr. Gross has a lot of positive good things but he may need to start feeling some heat if the football program doesn't do well this season. He got us into the ACC but our football program is still nothing more than mediocre which is where it was before he took over in 2004 and that was after the football program bottomed out thanks to Gross terrible HC pick.

If Shafer and his coaches are going to take some heat we need to start directing some at Gross.

How in the world is a poor football team the ADs fault? He hired the guy half the fanbase wanted, and then as recently as 6 weeks ago everybody believed was the guy to bring the program back to prosperity.

I question he got us into the acc. We were the prettiest girl left for them. I mean jake had us almost in w zero effort. The brand was enough to get us in. The myth he was the reason is questionable to me.

I like Gross personally but eventually the weight of the pyramid collapsing falls on the top and not the bottom.
Gross has done a lot of good things but football is not one of them and he needs to stop overspending on other sports because of contract incentives we know he has in his contract and give all the financial backing he can to football.

Gross needs to go NOW! The clusterf&$k going on at SUAD needs to end. We need an AD who knows how to hire a Football coach. This BS starts at the top and it starts with the AD. He has hired 3 football coaches and didn't want FHCDM but was overruled by committee. I'm surprised he has lasted this long as he and Syverud are not on the same page (or even in the same book).

I understand Gross has a golden parachute in his contract (thank Nancy for that) that keeps him here for now. Syverud has been placing his people in positions to eventually transition the AD and overhaul SUAD. We really need an AD that knows how to develop business, community, university and student relationships.

And whose fault is that?He is doing a good job at what the school asked him to do per his contract.As usual the most important sport is an after thought for these guys.That's not on him.

Meh. You've been laying the ground work for this for a month. He's not going anywhere based on athletic performance.

Maybe the budget issues get him - but I have to figure that would have happened by now...
