With covid I am sure it is very difficult to get recruits excited in a program. Everything is done over the computer. No camps or official visits.
I was thinking what could the staff do that would not violate ncaa rules.
One thing I thought may excite the recruit is to live stream practice. Could give recruits a pass code to enter for each practice. That would keep things private and not release information but also allow the recruits to really see the players and coaches engaged in football activities. Just a thought.
Anyone else have any rule appropriate suggestions that could help recruiting (beside facility upgrades)?

Once you start sending out passcodes, there's no way to keep it private.
You would send a new one each practice. Also only to recruits that have real interest in su versus an offer.

The Pitino/Louisville approach seems like it probably excited a lot of recruits, unfortunately I'm not sure that is the path we should be taking.

I wish I had a serious answer. I'm not sure how we can do that right now. Hopefully the virtual tours they are getting and the coaches energy/enthusiasm is enough of a draw to bring them to Syracuse.

How do you know that they aren't letting them view practice. They give live virtual tours.

We've been doing better recruiting now than we have in the last 10 years when it comes to getting early commits. Those early commits are excited in the program. I think our guys know what they are doing.

The title of this thread belongs on a Louisville basketball forum

I suggest we employ the ole Rick Pitino special and take them down to Paradise on the Boulevard and whatever happens happens

Seriously though, winning and great facilities with a chance to take your talent to the next level excites players. Until we establish ourselves as a winning program we will not excite the same number or level of recruits as the top programs. My first High School coach taught me that winning solves all problems.

I just can't resist that thread title:
