Since we are almost through with the non-conference portion of the college football season after this week we won't see many compelling non-conference matchups till Thanksgiving. Here is how I would rank the conferences thus far. 1. Pac-12- Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Arizona State are all good and only USC and Oregon State have been duds for this conference. 2. SEC- Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss are all solid teams and Florida is still a top 25 team, but Miami did an excellent job repping the ACC and beating the Gators, but the SEC depth is 2nd to the Pac-12 so far this season. 3. ACC- Clemson, Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech are all top 25 teams when conference play will start, and I am not going to count Maryland for the ACC or B1G this year. This conference has done a good job beating SEC teams and giving Clemson, Florida State, and Miami the respect that if they run the table they should be in conservation for the NC title game. No bad losses for the ACC thus far. 4. B1G- Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin are solid teams, but the conference doesn't have many good wins. Notre Dame, Syracuse x2, California x2, but the conference doesn't have any basd losses either though. 5. Big XII- Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Baylor are good, and Texas Tech has looked decent so far but Texas, Kansas State, West Virginia, Kansas, Iowa State have all struggled and that is half their league, and they have a bunch of bad losses as Iowa State and Kansas State both lost to 1-AA teams. 6. American- Louisville/UCF/Cincinnati look solid, but this conference has a lot of bad losses so far. However, UL being top 10 and UCF being 25 keeps them 6th for now. 7. MWC- Frenso State is good, but the rest of conference hasn't done anything yet. 8. MAC- Northern Illinois looks top 25ish again and who doesn't love Tuesday Night #MACtion 9. Conference USA- nobody is undefeated but the conference looks better than the Sun Belt 10. Sun Belt- yeah they are enhancement games for the SEC, ACC, Big XII. However, ULM did beat ACC team Wake Forest who is probably one of the bottom 2 teams in the ACC.
