Garfinkel was also eminently quotable. The Syracuse newspapers used to go to him for a sound byte type quote a lot when Syracuse would get a verbal to give SU fans a feel for what the player brought to the table.
Here are a few I remember (at least I think I remember):
Frank Tourella (sp?) was a skinny 7 foot center from NYC who verbaled to SU. He had health or grade issues, maybe both and never arrived on campus.

Red Bruin was one of SU's first HS AAs. He was from Queens.

Rafael Addison was a skinny SF from Jersey City

Howard was a character. Great ambassador for the game...he was kind of a lesser known version of Dick Vitale. RIP.
