Huggins Pregame Radio Yesterday

Was asked what have been his keys to success over the year. In addition to complimenting his many staff members, he said that they've had good kids who get their work done academically so that don't have that distraction to the team. I thought that was an intentional shot against SU. Kind of an odd comment to make, unless he really can't stand SU.

I don't take it that way. maybe he just talked to jb and jb said this was a distraction vs ND. Who knows? Huggy has his faults but he always seems classy after a loss the way he interacts with the other coach.

Well, wouldn't that be a key to most successful college programs? From an outsiders view, he does seem to have good kids. The one who got hurt his senior year (Butler? ) seemed like a really fine young man.

Huggins is pretty crazy, but I think he's someone who really understands the value of an education. I believe he was a very strong student and it seems he holds his kids to a high standard.
