I was all for Allen at the beginning of the year. He seemed to have all the tools. Obviously, that hasn't translated in the games. I also believe that the results of those two games are still losses with any other QB in there which includes Hunt. There are a lot of problems with this team from the coaching staff on down. Most of these units are trying to overcome great losses and plenty of talent. I often think we forget how good Nassib was. What a blessing to have watched him mature into an NFL quarterback. What he brought to the equation last season cannot be duplicated and should not be forgotten. With that understanding, at this point, i cannot see how much worse the offense would do with Hunt in there. Without alot of dynamic playmakers in the WR corps i think it makes sense to have a QB who isn't afraid to tuck it and run or even has designed runs for him. Hopefully, for what Hunt lacks in the QB measurables he makes up for as a playmaker. The ability to extend a play with your legs would be very benificial with this current offense. This offense just doesn't seem fit for a drop-back gunslinger. As much as we love our guys we simply don't have the weaspons at WR at this point. And the offensive line (without this being a knock on them) isn't as good as last year and that is another thing working against us. All in all, i think that the coaching staff should go with the guy moving forward that is gonna be under center at the end of the year. The next two games will be huge for development of the QB role moving forward. The offense can finally play with confidence and get organized. So what the coaches do in the Wagner and Tulane games will be hugely telling as to thier perspective in all of this. Personally, i think they start giving some run to Hunt starting this week. P.S. If you start Hunt it increases our chances with Holley :)
