Sorry, it is 14 games as a starter. If you compare the potential 48 games that a starting QB would play over his career, yes. That is only 29% of games he will play in college. That does not include a possible 4 more from bowl game appearances. Which would be 52 games and have him only playing 26 % of games possible. We are also looking at his development in the beginning when the game is much faster compared to the last couple of years they play. I think we can all agree that the first 30% is much different than the finally 30%. Tonight in the second half I think he started making some much better reads and going through his progressions. That is promising; he is finding and adding a new dimension. Also, his touch on the deeper throws seems to be progressing and could be ahead of Nassib on this (Have seen him make some perfect long throws but have not seen it enough). So far, Nassib was much better at hitting the short and intermediate routs; although he had a tendency to put to much on them. Hopefully GM is realizing that we need to extend the field and he continues to spread the field. They can then come back and hit bubbles if they want. It will also open the line for the run. He does need to get much better on hitting his intermediate and short throws. I did notice that many of these shorter throws are going to Gulley and Estime who are only about 5'8". He seems to overthrow them. If you have ever gone out and thrown catch with a teenage son an elementary son. You know that that height differences takes some adjustment. It is much easier to throw to the taller receiver because you throwing to a person who has a larger wingspan. Same with pitching to a shorter batter. The strike zone is a lot smaller and you have to be more precise. Hunt needs to learn to adjust to this and the only way he can do this is if we continue to throw down the field. Nassib went through the same growing pains and by his senior season did a great job managing the team. He is a smart QB which his what got him in the NFL. I think of all the 2 minute drives and second half comebacks that were so amazingly fun to watch (Missouri was a blast to watch). Hunt is 9-5 as a starter. I have no clue what the final verdict is going to be when he leaves the Hill. Hopefully an extremely positive one with all the things he has gone through. I will say that I hope that another stud McNabb like freshman walks through the door. If that doesn't happen, I hope that one of our QB's develops into a McNabb stud like QB. Although McNabb had much better teams around him.
