Sometimes people and organizations need to stand for something more than winning. Here I go again with nice sentiments. But, if Indiana would have stood up to Coach Knight much earlier and threaten to fire him and be ready to stand by it, he would not have terrorized the team and reporters all the years that he did. Loudmouth and bullies are generally cowards who get away with things if allowed to, and if the people that govern or have the power relinquishes it to them.
