Notre Dame - a team with a rep for being soft and slow on defense, didn't shoot the lights out but they out-toughed and out-rebounded Pitt on their home court, playing m2m. The zone is the answer for some match-ups, but it's also the problem in others. We have a coach that thinks the zone is the answer for everything. His success is weighted on offense for that reason. His best teams have multiple scoring threats that can go off which allows them to withstand the other team "getting hot" and figuring out the zone. See Wisconsin last year or Texas in 2003.
