When contrasting the Sandusky situation with Fine's they just seem so drastically different in terms of the individuals involved.

Sandusky is an extrovert.  At least one source close to PSU referred to him as a "Pied Piper" of kids around the program.  He seems to have put a lot of effort into "grooming" youths as potential prospects for abuse.  Additionally, second perhaps to Paterno, he had a larger than life personal around the PSU football program.

Fine seems like a nice enough guy, but I can't imagine people would classify him as an extrovert.  Frankly, as an outsider looking on, he seems kind of uncomfortable around people.  Not the kind of person you could imagine manipulating people with his personality.  Also, as much as we all like and respect Coach Fine, I don't think he has the image of being "larger than life" in the SU basketball program.  He has been a dedicated assistant to Coach Boeheim, but hardly one to stand out.

As so many here have said, the allegations are very serious and hopefully the truth comes out.  But from a strictly profile standpoint, the differences between the individuals seem to be night and day.  Though as I said, I'm no expert.
