November 1st and we’re talking about 10 wins, potential 45,000 person crowds in the dome, fiesta and peach bowl. Chances of winning out and going to the playoffs? Playoffs!?!!?

If anyone speculated any of this in the summer they’d be outcasted and berated.

I’m enjoying the ride but am trying to recalibrate and focus in on Wake. This game’s going to show the real difference. Winning on the road and avoiding the classic what the hell loss that manages to slightly derail our November. Wake is huge. We win this game, I’ll believe we have at least a shot at 9 or 10.

Insane how this years playing out. Cool going on instagram and seeing Cuse football posts with a few thousand likes, hundreds of comments and excited NFL alumni cheering on the team.

Yep...I want 7-2 and a loss gets the "They didn't belong" theme going. You have to think that Babers has this team hot and ready since they have struggled on the road in the ACC. Have to prove they can win on the road and that should help the staff keep the players quite focused or refocused. if any have been getting ahead of themselves.

If we lose [and I'm not predicting that we will], then momentum stalls amongst the casual fanbase, and we'll have another 37K in the Dome for Louisville.

Win, and it is a madhouse for Dungey's last home game, setting up an 8-2 ND showdown that would garner lots of national attention under those circumstances.

Just from a program momentum standpoint, we can't afford to stub our toe this weekend.

I'm still thinking about berating you for this post.

If we lose the Dino leaving threads will stop at least lol. There's that. :)

This is the paragraph that matters. Everything else is just fun to do as fans. We havent won a November game during Dino's tenure, and just one in like the last four seasons. Time to finish strong. Everything else is just a byproduct (good or bad).

We are where I predicted we would be pre-season, so my expectation and prediction hasn't changed (8-4). I believe ND and BC games are winnable, but those are going to be very tough games (I picked us losing both pre-season). 8-4 with a chance for a ninth win in the bowl game is what I expected this year. Anything less than that is disappointing to me. Anything more than that would be incredible, even if it's just beating BC to finish with 9 regular season wins.

With all that said. One game at a time. This fanbase should know more than almost any other that we should never get ahead of ourselves. It's fun to dream, but we need to take it one game at a time. It starts this weekend. Beat Wake on the road, maybe move up the rankings a little bit and come back to the Dome for a Ville blowout in Dungeys last home game. Once we hit 8-2 we can really start to dream big.

I just hope this team can stay healthy for the rest of the year. We are gonna need all hands on deck for those last two games. Coming into this week I'm slightly concerned with the health of our secondary.
