For the record, I'm all about doing new uniforms, Oregon type stuff but these blue helmets are fugly. Looks like we spray painted some old helmets.

Go back to and stay with the traditional Coach Mac uniforms.

While wearing those uniforms we went to the Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Gator, Liberty, Insight, Champs, Peach, Hall of Fame, Music City and Pinstripe Bowls.

We also beat the likes of Miami, Nebraska, Texas, Clemson, Auburn, Colorado,Michigan, Va Tech and many others.

Any more thoughts on the concept?

My only point was that, even allowing for superstition, the outcome of a game is seldom affected by the design of the helmets. I'm certainly aware of the bowl games we went to under coach Mac since I went to most of them.

My preference is the traditional look. That being said; I am open to this new phenomena of alternate uniforms. My thoughts are they should be a reward for winning. After all, didn't we win last week with the traditionals?

My biggest concern is how we got wiped out by GT.

I can't believe anyone on this board legitimately cares about the unis. If the kids like them, that is truly all that matters to me. We could wear the patriots shirts with the eagles pants and the broncos helmets and I couldn't care less.

Were the mcnabb era unis nice? Sure. But don ain't walking through the tunnel any time soon and that was close to 20 years ago. This is what kids like, this is what "attracts" them, then whatever.

I understand the OP was in somewhat jest, but I think the blue helmets are sharp and we need to differentiate somehow from Clemson, Miami, virginia in the ACC .

I've got to go finish painting my living room blue... Blending it into orange for the bottom foot.

The problem with the new look is it makes SU look more like Virginia. If we want to be different, then go with something really radical, not the UVA/Illinois look.
