the first half was spirited, hard hitting, high scoring game with both teams really competing, with a great crowd. the second half had no crowd, and both teams seemed to pack it up and call it a day. What was Shaffer punting, ever, down 18? it was like both teams just said "ok we are good here" and ran out the clock. it was bizarre to watch.

I couldn't believe he punted a few times on 4th down, in the second half. I'm not on the "never punt" bandwagon, but What.
the sequence that really bugged me was in the 3rd quarter and they had 3 and 2, give to morris who hasn't played and loses yards then we punt. Dixon drives it into the endzone for a 28 yard net. meanwhile we could have run 2 plays to get 2 yards instead of a handoff to a back up and then a punt.

edit: Dixon stinks by the way

OH, I know you and I aren't always on the same page with our sports takes. But I am 100% aligned with you on this. It was quite frustrating.

Look at the boxscore.

Dominated in yards. Equal in penalties and 3rd down conversions. Biggest thing- turnovers.

Strange, strange game. We are good for a couple a year.

I never said that, I agree with a lot of the things you have to say

If you had told me before the game that we'd have ~600 yards, that Hunt would rush for 170, and even though he wasn't great throwing the ball, he had a pretty solid overall game--I would have thought that the score would have been reversed, at worst.

Strange game.

Those punts were unforgivable with a gergian offense. With our offense vs md defense, it goes so far beyond unforgivable. Mind boggling stupidity

I'm not a big don''t punt guy dont kick FG guy, but the flow of the game needs to dictate the decision not just the score and the position on the field. I think the game yesterday was all about going for it in the 2nd half and not punting . i do wonder if hunt being an avg thrower hinders that decision. when you need completions i dont feel comfortable with his throws. almost every overthrow he missed yesterday was to someone who was open, the others were bad decision throws.

Have him run!

i think everyone in the house knows he is going to run then. he ran several times in those situations and got crushed. if anything i would do the opposite. the safety have to crash to stop him so go deep. we never go for broke but some of that is he cant throw the pass. he did throw a couple nice deeper balls yesterday though

Call a pass let him scramble run a qb draw
