This happens alot. A big underdog team on the road will be up double digits in the 2nd half, and instead of taking 30 seconds off the shot clock EVERY SINGLE TIME, theyll continue playing the same way and the more talented home team will make a run and the underdog team will panic and take quick shots and the lead is gone in a flash.
If NC State took 30 seconds off the shot clock every possession the last 10 minutes of that game tonite no way duke comes back.
Reminds me of ncaa tournament games when the 15 or 16 seed comes out and takes quick shots and tries to play run and gun. The only way those kind of upsets can happen or even have a chance to happen (as we know all too well) is to take the air out of the ball every single possession.
