When they kept showing shots of him on the bench I felt so horrible for the kid.  Doris just kept referencing him being out, you kept seeing him on the bench with the close-up shots.  He looked sort of sad.  Any maybe that's just because you're not really accustomed to seeing him on the bench.  At least for the past three years.  It just seemed awful for it to come down like this for a kid that had probably not seen the bench for this much time in so long, nor sat in a single important situation since his Frosh season.  I really wanted him to come in and win it.

Perhaps if it was a different scenario and he came in a few minutes earlier, my reaction would have differed, but as soon as he checked in I knew we were done.  I knew he would end up with the ball in his hands.  And that it would end badly.  I hadn't been that sure of something since...well, forever.  And everyone I know had pretty much the same reaction.  Obviously things could have shaken out differently, the oddest part is that it really did end that way.  I mean, could he of at least come close to making the shot for once?   :(
