A lot of your points have been discussed in depth over the years relative to Trevor...I am on the same side and agree completely with not trashing players personally, etc., that's certainly uncalled for. I just think after games, especially tough losses, etc., you have to decipher through those particular ones and really not give it the weight that you apparently do...as well as others here who may get offended. I believe that even the fans here making those unnecessary comments, really don't mean ill will towards the player(s) in the literal sense, but just venting in the moment. Like when Coleman in the second half pulled an "Along came Polly" moment and threw "raindrops" off the backboard that ended up back at the foul line, I yelled out a What was that Coleman, are you kidding me kind of thing. Not flattering by any stretch, but no ill will towards him the person, only the basketball player's hoop prowess or lack thereof...in that moment. When people have those knee jerk moments you elude to, they are just that, knee jerk. And, I believe those comments are geared towards the individual's play, in that moment, as well as overall, but that it doesn't reflect what they feel deep down about that players true character, integrity, as a person, etc. I mean, really, how can it? They're likely to have never met the person. It's nothing more than them choosing to be sensational, bringing attention to themselves, shock jock-ish more than anything else. That's how I view it, along with not taking anything here too seriously.
