From this article http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...lege-basketball-ready-some-awkward-gatherings she says "In Charlotte, the media will meet the new ACC, which now includes the Atlantic Coast-hugging towns (not exactly) of Pittsburgh, Syracuse, N.Y. and South Bend, Ind. (Of course, the Big Ten has more members than Heinz has sauce ingredients, so who are we to quibble with geography". I can understand ND not being an "ACC hugging town" but US and Pitt fit the geographic footprint.

I know she likes to take shots at Syracuse but I wanted to point this out in particular. Most of these ACC towns line up perfectly with each other. Do some research dana.

Talk about research, it would be nice if Dana used a map that actually included Syracuse and Boston College.

It was actually a map that I took from an article posted by orangeyes. I just eyeballed where us and Pitt would be. She obviously has trouble with geography though.

I believe she's a PennSt grad. Could be wrong but no fan of a bIg team is happy about ND basically joining the ACC.

I didn't realize that Syracuse was "grudgingly coming around." Perhaps at first some were dismayed, but it seems now everyone is on board and excited.

Shortly after the move was announced in 2011 she wrote a column completely ripping apart SU for turning its back on the BE. I don't think she has it out for Syracuse in general, but on conference realignment she has really not been friendly to us.

And yes, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and South Bend are not really coastal areas, but Utah, Arizona and Colorado aren't anywhere near the Pacific; Missouri isn't in the Southeast; and the Big 12 and Big 10 aren't either.
