... how a conference that had five schools deemed valuable enough for expansion by the ACC (Miami, VaTech, BC, Syracuse, Pitt), 1 school valuable enough for expansion by the Big Ten (Rutgers) and 1 school valuable enough for expansion by the Big 12 (West Virginia) could be so mismanaged so as to not have value with ALL OF THEM TOGETHER?!?!
It just burns me up.
The Big East had schools play for national titles in FOOTBALL in two out of three years (VaTech 1999, Miami 2001) just prior to being raided by the ACC.
And the Big East's big, innovative, proactive move was to ask the ACC if they'd want to form a football confederation. Well, at least the BE didn't tip their hand as to how vulnerable they felt they were or anything!
