After watching this team play poorly in the first two games I was incensed with SS and was wondering whether he could do a competent job as SU HC. While we haven't played top teams these past two weeks destroying these teams in a manner I can't remember an SU Football team doing in a while has alleviated my concerns to a degree and I am going to give him props. I was not 100% wrong, but I will admit I was too tough and am glad HCSS has righted the ship and Terrell Hunt has looked great these past two games. I thought we left the Penn State game on the table, and will not lament that game because we have looked good these past two games. I think this can is likely to go 4-4 in ACC play and will be playing in our 3rd bowl game in 4 years. Now SS has to do what Doug Marrone couldn't seem to do well and recruit better athletes to Syracuse to make the jump to a consistent 7-9 win team each year. However, the point of this post is eat my humble pie now and be happy with the direction the program is going in. HCSS has more work to do, but he is on the right track.

Nice. Now spell Terrel's name correctly. We have two more years after this.

Pick a lane.

Let's see you're back on the bandwagon after two blowout wins after bailing, again, after some difficulty out of the gate.

You lose faith like a teenager loses their cell phone.

I got hammered by leaving the Northwestern game early and getting back to Chicago in time for the early evening shift of some random bartender who handed out free fireball shots to the crowd like Terrell Hunt hands out TD drives.

I'd like that time back, with the removal of that nearly 2 full day hangover. But I'm not going to complain, onward and upward with how the team has responded.

alsac good to see you making up for your sins. With all the tv clemson talk and how u went out of your way numerous times to degrade us and negative nancyish stuff you say on a daily basis its good to see you actually kind of like SU.

It's funny how many people ripped Shafer for resetting the score mentally in that game. The team points to that second half as the beginning of the rebound.

It's when Shafer directed a change in the offensive approach by reducing the number of plays and therefore the hesitation and confusion. The last two games is an continuation of that second half.

It's nice to see flexibility to the approach. What's more, it looks they are CAPABLE of making adjustments. That's not something to be taken for granted in the world of college football coaches.

I hever doubted HCSS for a minute but my apologies would have to go out to OCGM. Perhaps your playcalling wasn't as bad as our early (lack of) production made it look. I expected too much immediately which is solely my fault.

One of the most important attributes to have is the ability to recognize when change needs to be made and when to stay the course. The staff has demonstrated an ability to adapt in several different ways. They moved Ron Thompson who seems to be doing well, they simplified the play book, they changed QB's and they seem to have a plan for #1.

I noticed John Raymon on ST. Seems to be a different philosophy on who plans ST.

I have a feeling we are going to like McD as OC. As the season progresses and the Hunt gets more comfortable (yeah, I know he looks pretty comfortable out there now) he will open up the play book and things will get interesting.

Is it just me or is the D (not ST) not as aggressive as in prior years?
