They beat us a ton and the game normally has a lot riding on it. The atmosphere in the Dome is most electric when there is hatred. We seem to be joined at the hip with these guys and they should be our rival although I guess you can't force these things.

Anyway, lets BLAST these guys tomorrow!!

They could be a rival if they ever did anything of any real consequence in the NCAA tourney. Until then it is just Dixon wanting to beat his dad .

I was at this game below. It was the greatest sports moment of my life. I think it was loud but I was too busy hyperventilating and on the verge of passing out to remember:

I feel like Pitt and Virginia are similar. I hate the way Virginia fouls like 100 times and holds the entire game. In a way I hate Pitt more than UConn and Georgetown. Ok maybe I don't mean that but I hate them a lot. I feel that was about UVA in relation to Duke and UNC.

The weirdest thing for me and I don't know why but I just really hate Duke. Nothing makes me happier than seeing Duke lose at Cameron. I don't know why but Duke just rubs me the wrong way. And I felt this way long before we got into the ACC. And I actually dreaded the idea of ever losing to Duke during conference play.

They (Pitt) beat us to a pulp in the Dome last year. This year .. they're not as big up front without Zano or whatever his name was. No matter, they'll still hit past their average from 3 and foul our guys 5x on the way to the rim.

Pitt: The Unflushable Turd.

I keep awaiting the day that Pitt will get beaten so badly by somebody, preferably us, but doesn't have to be, that they finally man up and make decision to fold up the entire university. Preferably, they would then burn the campus to the ground and bury the ashes. If gas and matches were too expensive and they want to turn it into a shelter for homeless cats or something, I guess that would be ok. But it would be much much better if it was burned.

I don't have the intense hatred for Duke some have. I would compare Duke to Derek Jeter. I know there are a lot of Yankee fans in here but my parents are from Boston and I'm a huge Red Sox fan. I used to hate how Jeter got all these gold gloves he didn't deserve when his range was crap and there were way better people out there. I also hated the way he gets all this credit when he is really a good #2 hitter that hits the ball the other way for average and is an average at best and below average his last 4-6 years MLB player. I came to realize I don't hate Jeter as much as I hate the baseball writers and all these other people. Similarly with Duke I hate the garbage officials that give them all these bad calls in very important moments and how they are always given the easiest road to the Final 4 when they don't always deserve it. How can I blame Duke and Coach K for that. I really just hate the selection committee, the NCAA as a whole and the talentless hacks at ESPN and other media outlets.

I'm ready to quit being a college basketball fan at some point during almost every SU-Pitt game. They are bad for the game.
