I have to question Kevin Long's

reputation as a hitting coach. I look at Soriano's swing and it has more holes in it than an LPG tournament. If Long went to the video room and slo-mo the swing he could help Soriano out and the team by helping him make contact with the ball far more often. Bring the hitters in there with him and sell them the idea of adjusting certain aspects of their swings AND BTW, It seems that Tex's injuries may have been fatal to his offensive capabilities He has far more pain batting left than righty.

If he has in fact done this he hasn't gotten through to Soriano. His swing is still an upper cut all or nothing go at the ball.

Its pretty rare for a player with 16 yrs MLB exp to change his swing. Its not Cal who would change it every other week. He might add little tweeks or take something out slightly but his all or nothing swing will always be there
