I think that reflects the reality of the tendinitis diagnoses.    It isn't like a broken bone or a ligament tear where you can say you take this course and it should be healed in xx number of days.  I think it is very much trial and error in terms of dealing with it.     Typically its more of a rest it for a period and see how you feel.   If you feel good and it doesn't come back, then you are past it.   If it doesn't feel good then you didn't rest it long enough.

Sidibe's thoughts on redshirting seem to reflect that.   He wants to play and no one can really predict how much pain he'll experience or whether it will return if he is currently feeling better.

If there was a log jam at center or we were clearly out of contention for an NCAA bid this season, then you could easily see him being convinced to redshirt.   But there are very clearly minutes for the taking and the team needs him, so in that situation I think it would be much harder to convince him that he should give up on this season.
