I won't disagree that sometimes 'higher' name schools may take their "lower" bowl opponent without the urgency or seriousness they may deserve, but I think its short-sighted to think that OU just didn't care if they won or lost. I don't get how anyone could think that - losing just doesn't benefit a player, coaching staff of the University, there is not benefit to not being prepared, especially as a power-house (even if by name only) team in the P5.

You are free to your opinion, but I disagree completely with this. Winning a bowl game does nothing but help your program and the players who hope to move onto the next level.
